【KUSPH④】Reporting My Attendance at the Academic Conference in 2023

On 31 December 2023, I'll report on my academic conference attendance for this year.

This year, I've had the opportunity to participate in several conferences. Below, I'll summarise the conferences I attended.

・9 to 10 Feb: Annual meeting of the Japan Society of Clinical Trials and Research (Kanazawa, Japan)

・20 to 21 Apr: Annual meeting of the Biometric Society of Japan (Hokkaido University, Japan)

・23 to 27 Jul: ISMB & ECCB 2023 (Lyon, France)

・18 to 19 Aug: Annual meeting of the Biostatistics Network (Hokkaido University, Japan)

・3 to 7 Sep: Japanese Joint Statistical Meeting 2023 (Kyoto University, Japan)

・7 to 9 Sep: Annual meeting of the Japanese Society for Bioinformatics (Kashiwa-no-Ha, Japan)

Attending an international conference was a first for me. Being held in France, I had the opportunity to interact with students from across Europe. Listening to their passionate research endeavours firsthand heightened my motivation for my own research. It also increased my motivation to study English. Additionally, I had the chance to enjoy the tourist attractions and cuisine of Lyon, France. It was a thoroughly fulfilling end to July.
