I am even sadder because it was just when she said that she would be able to devote herself to her hobbies again once the COVID-19 pandemic had subsided.

Last summer my maternal grandfather passed away and now my paternal grandmother passed away. I could not show them getting a job. I regret that.

This time, however, I was able to call my grandmother before she passed away. I was not able to call my grandfather before he passed away. In both cases, my mother gave me a message to contact my maternal grandfather and paternal grandmother a few weeks before they passed away. This time I thought there might be something going on, so I called her. As has always been the case, it is often better to follow my parents' suggestions. This time was one of those times.

I decided to try harder to make my grandmother feel at ease. Rest in heaven, Grandma.
